Highway to Well: "I'll Be You," with Brett Powell
"I just wanna be the best of me
Even though sometimes, I forget to breathe
So that I can be the best for you
That's all I wanna do." - "Changes," David Bowie
Brett Powell is the VP and Wellness Consultant for the American Institute for Preventive Medicine. He is a national wellness leader in discussing generational issues at the worksite, including communication, connection and care.
In this episode of "Highway to Well," Brett and I explore these issues, as well as dive into where the wellness field is and how smooth our transition is going we we become more generationally diverse. We'll talk about the value in developing programming and pathways that allow for more creative expression, opportunities for building social connections, and enhancing self-efficacy.
We've sometimes gotten lost in data analytics, relentlessly pursuing ROI, and stratifying for disease, that we've forgotten some of the simple guidelines for living and working well. Brett is trying to pull the reigns so we can see wellness as part of our human experience. We applaud all his efforts.
