In this episode of "Highway to Well," Chuck Gillespie, Executive Director of the National Wellness Institute (NWI), and I dive into the need for collaboration in our field and NWI's place in this movement. We also speak about the fingerprint of COVID on wellness and the opportunity we have to address social and emotional wellbeing in greater capacity, skill-building and self-efficacy, and how to make work more meaningful. Most importantly, we speak about what Chuck's walk-up song would be, as I strongly suggest he incorporates this at his introduction to the National Wellness Conference participants later this summer.
NWI is the leader in providing professional development and engagement opportunities that support individuals from a variety of disciplines in promoting whole–person wellness.
The National Wellness Conference, hosted annually by NWI, is where wellness and health professionals from a myriad of professional backgrounds (worksites, communities, public health organizations, healthcare, colleges/universities, faith communities) come together as the voice of the wellness community to identify and represent the professional standards and competencies for the industry. This year's theme for the 46th edition is, "Be Curious, Be Intentional, Be Well."
