Conversations that need to happen....

We can do better. We can grow young men into empathetic, nurturing individuals who promote respect, integrity and nonviolence.  We can grow organizational cultures into safe spaces where everyone can thrive without exception and without fear. We can shine a light on harassment, discrimination and  consent. We can do better. 

Dr. Kelly Wilz and I had a conversation about such, and we recorded it. Kelly is the Division Head for the Department of Communication at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She teaches courses in women's and gender studies; activism; and  sex, communication and #MeToo, 

In the wellness, we often leave these sorts of discussions to professionals outside of our field. But, I have hope we can expand our definitions of wellness to include these ideas, and have discussions that help us see how communication and tolerance is deeply rooted in our well-being.
